Reception for CRAG Solo Photography Exhibit by Bette Guerin February 10th
The Connecticut River Artisans Group (CRAG) will be having a reception on Friday, February 10th from 5-7 pm to welcome the solo photography exhibit by CRAG member Bette Guerin. The reception will be held at the Tillotson Center, 14 Carriage Lane in Colebrook from 5-7 pm. The exhibit at the gallery is entitled "Every Picture Tells a Story: A Photo Journal". Bette describes her view on photography and the focus of the exhibit as follows: "Perhaps of all my artistic pursuits, photography has stayed with me the longest. Photography captures a moment in time, and each time you look at a particular photo, it evokes a memory. That is some pretty powerful stuff. The images I have in this exhibit are those that I wanted to tell a story about, and additionally to encourage people to go outside their comfort zones and explore. Whether it be around the state or around the world, there is beauty, cultures and unique places to experience. The photos chosen depict an assortment of moods and places. In traveling, we learn that diversity in language, culture, landscapes, art and food actually brings us all together and enriches us as individuals. And in the end, we realize we are all basically the same, wanting the same things out of life. " The exhibit will be on display from February 2nd to April 15th.
