Chess Tournament: Canaan vs Colebrook

We will take on the Chess Club from Canaan Schools in a single elimination bracket (with random assignments) tournament on February 17th at the Canaan Schools’ MPR (cafeteria space in the elementary building) beginning at 10AM. We will play timed 30 minute games (15 minutes each) with a 5 second delay. 

Teams and individual players will be scored.

All players will receive a participation gift - key chain of chess pieces

1st, 2nd and 3rd place individual winners will earn gift-prizes:
1st: Chess set
2nd: Blanket
3rd: Poster 

Snacks and beverages will be available for spectators and players.

Our tournament will follow NSCCA guidelines - the FIDE (World Chess Federation) laws of chess for rapidplay games. Notes on the rules are posted in the event.
