Four Chaplains Ceremony

The ceremony honors the selfless service of the Four Chaplains, who gave their lives to save oth- ers servicemen while the USAT Dorchester was sinking after being torpedoed by a German U- boat on February 3, 1943 in one of the worst sea disasters of WWII. Local Gilman/Lunenburg Methodist minister, Rev George L Fox, was one of the Four Chaplains and a true Vermont hero.
